From where I’d rather be 😍 this is one of our air bnbs in Nicaragua and it was absolutely insane!
I didn’t realize until I’m back at home that I hardly took any pictures while in Nicaragua. I found myself leaving my phone behind and running rampant with this group of crazies! So I guess here’s to having a professional photographer perfectly capture the rowdiness of the trip during Sunday Funday 😂😅 #myfriendsaresotan #sethdidthegobletsurvive #imglowinginthedark #nakedtigerhostel #nicaragua
My bags are absolutely filthy from riding around in the back of our UTC. My hair is knotted and dry from the sand, salt and sun. I’ve lost a hat and more sunglasses than I’m proud to admit. I’ve somehow managed to sunburn all parts of my body at different times and made friends with a few too many bartenders. My heart is full to the brim because of the most wonderful group of people I’ve never met (until now of course 🙈) and because of a country I can now tick off my bucket list. Thank you all for being so welcoming to me as an ASB newb and for ensuring there was no shortage of inappropriate jokes. Love you guys! 😎🌴🌊
Vacation doesn’t suck 😏
Everyone falls. Everyone breaks down. At some point, everyone has a struggle that feels suffocating. That feels as though the swells drag you under and the weight on your heart is pressing down on you from all sides. But you know what? It’s possible feel unbearable pain and inexplicable happiness at the same time. That’s how I feel most days. I’ve found that not everything you want is worth fighting for and not everything you lose is a loss. Sometimes the things you lose are the very things that set you free. mb
It doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter how many times I get burned. I still reach out and touch the flames praying this time it’ll be different. That the searing memory isn’t real and it will be soft and warm. . “People can change” I tell myself. And I continue to believe it. Even when the scars serve as a reminder of the pain of the past I’ll still throw myself into the fire with my eyes tightly shut and my heart wide open because it always matters. mb ——————————————— I’ve recently found some great writers on Instagram that have such a great voice. Some of my favorites are @nikita_gill @rmdrk @rupikaur_ @alyssahowritings 🔥 I feel their feelings as I read their writing. Go check them out!
